Thrill of the Hunt: Newburyport

Last weekend I was in the mood for a good shopping hunt. The kind you spend a few hours mulling over every nook and cranny to maybe, just maybe, find a hidden treasure. This summer was my first time in Newburyport and I fell in love with a vintage store called Oldies Marketplace, a huge  antique-filled barn on the wharf. We took a leisurely drive north of the city and bundled up to explore.

Since I can remember I have wanted a big old steamer trunk, I mean a Goyard version would be dreamy, but let's be real here. I had my hands on one at Brimfield last summer but didn't have an immediate need for it, so I passed. Still, with no immediate need, besides that I just really want one or two, I found the below options perfect. Black with aged wood, leather binding, and flat tops, would make for an excellent coffee table!

I ended up walking out of Oldies without a trunk, but a tiny rhinestone necklace that I am going to turn into a DIY project. Beauty and Beard had a quick how to, it got me rummaging through the cases of costume jewelery searching for a great piece to to revamp with some neon for spring. It's a little short but will be a great experiment!

Once I complete the DIY, I will be sure to share photos and instructions.
